Our team consists of a group of people who all have a great deal of passion for, knowledge of and experience with the Cane Corso. Each member brings their own expertise to the Club and work together to promote, preserve and protect the breed.
Maisie became involved in the Cane Corso in 2018 when she acquired one of her Cane Corso's from a protection dog company. Maisie's expertise lie in genetics and working dogs, having already been heavily involved in another breed and invested in working and showing her now retired kennel for nearly two decades. Maisie is deeply passionate for breed preservation, breeding programmes and education of the Cane Corso.
Owner of I Molossi Del Porto Kennel. Paige is a canine behaviourist and loves working breeds. After research and planning she became involved in the Cane Corso in 2021. Paige is enthusiastic about protecting the future of the breed through responsible ownership and good understanding of this breed, their needs, and suitable homes and working roles for them.
Nino Lo Raso is a pivotal figure in the introduction and establishment of the Cane Corso breed in the United Kingdom. Originally from Southern Italy, Lo Raso brought his deep-rooted passion for the breed to the UK, where he has been instrumental in its development. In 1997, Nino Lo Raso imported two Cane Corsos, Capo and Nola, from the esteemed Malavasi kennel in Italy. These dogs were the first of their breed to enter the UK, marking a significant milestone in the breed's history within the country. Through his efforts, Nino Lo Raso has become a respected figure in the Cane Corso community. We are absolutely delighted to have Nino as our club patron - his experience and knowledge of the breed is instrumental to the future success of the breed.
Jo Lueck is a leading figure in the UK Cane Corso world, known for her unwavering commitment to the breed’s preservation and integrity. Founder of Boleyn Cane Corso, Jo helped raise UK breeding standards by prioritising health testing, temperament, and true Italian type. Jo has exhibited internationally, placing second at the World Dog Show, and has hosted numerous breed education days in the UK, including events judged by top Italian specialists. She also launched Friends of the Cane Corso, one of the UK’s first forums dedicated to responsible ownership.
Now retired from breeding, Jo continues to influence the breed’s future in her role as Breed Advisor to the Italian Cane Corso Club of Great Britain — guiding a new generation with the same integrity that has defined her legacy
Hi I'm Rachael Secretary for the ICCGB, managing all the backbone and structure behind the scenes ensuring all communications go to the right places! My love for the Cane Corso stems from when I studied in animal management and zoology. I loved reading up breed histories and the Cane Corso stood out for me. Years later, I would fall in love with the breed and purchase my first Corso in 2022! Now I'm doing what I love to Preserve Promote and Protect the breed.
Stacey is the business & event co-ordinator for ICCGB. Having had many years in the not-for-profit and charity sector, she shares her knowledge and expertise to help the ICCGB grow to its full potential. Stacey is incredibly passionate about a safe and secure future for the breed as a Cane Corso owner herself.
Alex is the ethics officer for ICCGB. She first came across the breed 7 years ago, when one of he clients had one who produced a litter, out of which Alex had her first corso Nero. As she is incredibly passionate about the breed, Alex wants to educate people on the best way to raise their dogs and bring out their best qualities. Alex has been on a training journey with both of her Cane Corso's and believes it has made her a better owner and handler. Alex is an avid dog enthusiast and GP dog handler.
Marisha grew up in France with Dobermans on a farm and has always had a passion for dogs and dog training. Worked as a dog walker and studied animal management at college. Always had a love for big dogs, she used to look after Skye weekly from a puppy who was previously owned by a friend of a friend, Skye and Marisha fell in love and created a bond so deep that Marisha ended up taking ownership of her in 2023, Marisha has dedicated herself to Skye along with preserving the breed ever since. Marisha is a proud owner of Skye the cane corso, who is a registered therapy dog with therapy dogs nationwide.
